The installation companies relatively frequently need to make holes into already assembled or seated metal structures, components and parts. Use of the magnetic base drill is the ideal solution for making high-quality and quick holes, moreover in a complex position (e.g. above the head).
The magnetic base drill in principle combines the hand drill and the stand with electromagnet. When started, the electromagnet is attracted to all ferromagnetic materials (e.g. iron, steel), thus creating a firm connection with the processed material. Its holding force is affected – besides the material itself – by wall thickness and by quality of surface of the workpiece.
The magnetic base drill represents the ideal complete unit for drilling with helical, but mainly with core drill bits. The core drill bits differ from the helical ones, as they do not drill the whole hole area, but only its perimeter, thus making the work much more effective. Moreover, the compact machine is characterized by a high accuracy and good controllability; the compact design enables to use the magnetic base drill even in confined areas.
